I have a Bachelors degree in Modern Languages (Spanish and French). I have a Master's degree in Exceptional Education and have an active NC teacher's license. I have worked as a teacher for many years and have taught English to Spanish speaking and other languages speaking persons and taught Spanish to English speaking persons. I have worked on a volunteer basis with Spanish speaking as an interpreter mostly for personal business. I lived and worked in a Spanish speaking local school in Cartagena, Colombia South America; and have lived and worked in Miami, Fl. for 2 years with Spanish speaking children and adults.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
