I am retired Special Operations Operator, I have a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business that specializes in game design and 3D animation. I started my career in IT as a network administration. I gained my AS Degree and was certified as a CCNA, CCNP, MSP Server 2003 and 2008. I also went on to gain a degree in programming. I have always been interested in art. Because of my military disability I was unable to do art in the same way. 3D animation gave that back to me. I have taught college students and high school students both. My process of teaching is workflow, utilizing all the pieces of software that make up that workflow so that the student gets industry standard training, this allows them to understand how this works in the real world of the industry. I do not focus my training on a particular software but use multiple softwares to create the best results. Most of the software I use if free to use and create quality projects.

I own 3D animation studio that does both animation and game design. My studio has done white label service both here in the states and in the UK. We are partnered with Adobe, Blender, Epic (Unreal Engine) and a number of others.

Please feel free to contact about my course line which builds on itself as you move through the courses.

I have taught college-level students from universities the art of 3D animation and modeling for 4 years. I was a go-to source for helping with art students who wanted to learn and was asked by 4 colleges from different areas around the state of Florida to provide internship for their students. What I teach that colleges don't is a workflow, meaning how it is actually done in the industry. Most colleges only teach programs that focus on one application at a time and only specific applications. In the real world, we use multiple products and don't focus on just one application. I focus on a tool bag and most of what I teach is free software. I am partnered with Epic Games, Blender, and Adobe. So you are being taught what you need from these programs, not the whole program because not every program does everything great. I also teach project management and how projects are laid out.
Computer Gaming

Computer Gaming

I have been playing video games all my life. It was a big part of being in the military as that is what we did when had off time which wasn't very often. I am versed in programming. The great thing is that I am partnered with Epic Games, Blender and Adobe and these companies have made programming a great deal easier. Epic uses both C++ and Blue Prints. Blue Prints is visual programming. I teach this because it is easier for the student to see what they are doing and not just text but I also show them how the code and the BluePrints work together making learning faster and easier to understand. It doesn't stop there I also teach modeling and to find or make content. This streamlines the process. I will then help them to bring their dream stories to life.

Best Tutoring Experience, Period.

As usual Kevin was patient and took his time when explaining to me any parts that I was confused about. He had 0 issue with me asking questions and repeating himself. Got a solid grasp on basic rigging and weight painting!

Professional, knowledgeable, and organized

Graphic design introduction. Kevin was very helpful and courteous by tailoring my intentions with tutoring to me. At first glance he doesn't appear to subscribe to the one size fits all mentality that so many in academia fall into. Look forward to our future lessons and I am optimistic about improving my learning curve.

Best Tutoring Experience, Period.

Kevin was extremely patient, casual, and humorous throughout the lesson, so I felt a lot more comfortable asking the questions I needed. The lesson was organized and easy to follow along with and I can’t wait to schedule him again! The graph editor has gone from being a daunting obstacle in my way, to being one of the most useful tools I could ever ask for.

Great 1st lesson

I am super inquisitive and bounce around a lot. He was willing to answer all my questions while still being able to guide me back to the original topic. I learned a lot and can’t wait to learn more.

Very knowledgable and well-versed in a variety of topics

Kevin's level of experience and teaching skills are apparent right off the bat. His ability to ask the right questions and gauge his student's experience level(s) is a great benefit to anyone with the willpower to learn, no matter their level of knowledge or learning/working pace. Kevin is able to respond quickly to his students when questions arise, without detriment to the current lesson or task at hand. He explains potential applications of the topics and tools he covers can provides useful analogies to make new concepts easily understandable. I would recommend Kevin to anyone seeking a professionally-minded instructor with real-world experience and excellent teaching skills.

Prepared, knowledgeable, great to work with

Kevin made up an excellent session that responded directly to what I was looking to do in Blender/Unreal. He's articulate, knows his stuff, and was willing to stray off the plan at times to give me insights into other parts of Unreal I got interested in. He even prepared a summary document for me to look over and reference afterwards. Highly recommend him!

Awesome session!

Kevin listened to what I was interested in learning with Unreal Engine, understood what I was trying to accomplished (I'm focused on using UE for film production, not for making video games) and delivered a tailored lesson plan that was easy to understand and relevant to me. He was also very patient with me as I struggled with game mechanics (simply moving/looking around).

Awesome and super prepared tutor

Kevin was not only extremely knowledgable, he made sure to prepare a specific lesson plan for me based on what I was trying to accomplish. He also created a document for me to refer back to whenever I need. He was also very patient with me since this was all new material I had never learned before.
