I have been teaching chess to kids and adults for about 10 years. I have a very successful history of helping people achieve not only their chess goals, but also have helped improve social skills and academic goals as well. I am a United States Chess Federation rated Expert with a rating of 2100, which puts me in the top 3% of chess players in the country. I also have a FIDE rating of 2100 which ranks me in the top 500 in the nation. I have taught many elementary, middle and high school chess students for many years and I have a very good track record. My students usually range from beginner all the way to 1900 USCF. I have been playing chess since I was 5 years old and played in my first tournament when I was 11. I achieved the coveted Expert title in January of 2010. My main area of expertise is one on one private lessons, but I also do group lessons as well, which have become very popular. I love helping people achieve their chess goals and love seeing them win games and gain confidence.
I am a USCF Certified Local Tournament Director. I tied for 7th Place in the 2014 Millionaire Chess Open in Las Vegas, NV. I am a winner of many local 3 round events over recent years in NC. I have been a
