About Lee

I believe that I am qualified to tutor in Anthropology as I have both a B.A. and an M.A. from Tulane University. My focus was in cultural Anthropology. While there I took a wide array of classes in both Anthropological theory and practice. I am a member of The American Anthropological Association and keep up with the latest developments in the discipline.

I also specialize in teaching Hebrew and the Jewish Bible, but have extensive experience in Anthropology, Archaeology, Ancient History, and Religion. I have taught students as young as 10, but specialize in college students and adults.

I minored in Jewish Studies during my undergraduate degree. I currently teach two adult Bible study classes at a local synagogue. And I have been speaking Hebrew colloquially since I was two years old, and studying it in school since kindergarten including my minor in Jewish studies during my undergraduate. I have experience in linguistics and so can explain the structure of Hebrew to non-native speakers. In addition, I have taught introductory Modern Hebrew at Elon University.

In addition to having experience in Linguistics, I have been speaking and studying Hebrew (both Modern and Biblical) for most of my life, even having taught Modern Hebrew at the collegiate level.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My degrees in Anthropology also covered a good deal of Archaeology. This included both Old World and New World Archaeology. In addition, I have work experience in an Archaeology lab, working with Archaeological material (mostly ceramic sherds from the Yazoo River Basin).

Ballroom Dancing

I began swing dancing in 2005 and have been ballroom dancing since 2009. I was an assistant instructor for the Ballroom dancing club at Tulane University for several years. I have also choreographed some routines.
