Adept in several school subjects, I strive to help students learn in a manner that is tailored to their individual needs, and most effective for their comprehension.
I do believe that patience is a virtue, one that should be displayed in every situation possible. No one learns while under intense pressure, stress or unconstructive criticism. My goal is to appeal to the individual, find common ground, find the disconnect in the learning process, and proceed carefully and proficiently.
I take seriously any task that is set before me, and with such being the case, not giving my all to any student I am assisting is a nonexistent factor. The joy that comes with helping someone, the glow on the face of a young person who finally "gets" a certain subject, the smiles of students and parents alike after hours of studying and tutoring turn into good grades are all paramount.
I have experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. The "best" student to me, is one who is eager to learn, regardless of any prior misgivings as far as grades are concerned.
My favorite subject in school was English. I love poetry, narratives, free writing, and anything that has to do with language arts. Adept in several school subjects, I strive to help students learn in a manner that is tailored to their individual needs, and most effective for their comprehension.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Time spent in elementary education is the "molding years". K-6 are a very important foundation for learning to come. It is paramount that children receive the attention and assistance that they need at this time, so as not to prolong any difficulties they are experiencing. Time is precious and it is of the essence; with such being the case, those who work with children in elementary school must exhibit patience, understanding and have the child's learning curve in their best interest.
I regularly work with children in primary school, and have been doing so for over 10 (ten) years. I tutor in elementary math, reading, science and social sciences.
A portion of my background is centered on elementary education and elementary psychology. I love working with children, and helping them to learn-my previous students are an attestation to that.
Public speaking is a bit of an art form...once you learn the basics and learn to become comfortable on whatever platform it is that you are speaking, it will come very easy-second nature.
