I enjoy working one on one with students. I have tutored an older lady and she graduated college with her Associate's Degree. I have tutored a young man in Algebra. I have my Bachelor and Associate's Degree. I majored in Early Childhood Education. I completed college with a Liberal Studies Degree with a minor in Early Childhood. My goal is to take the Praxis 11 and enter the teaching field as a Lateral Entry. I have completed and passed all of the teaching pedagogies. I have certificates from Zaner Bloom (manuscript and cursive). I am a people person and I enjoy helping people especially when it comes to education. I feel that pen and pencil learning is better than the complete use of a computer. I am a 1982 high school graduate. I was an A and B student all through school. I am proud of my accomplishments. I was previously a 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor for 22 years at Burlington Industries until the plant closed down. I went to Rockingham Community College and earned my Associate's Degree and maintained a 3.2 or better GPA and transferred to Greensboro College. My goal in life had to wait and I became a care giver to my father until he passed to be with God and then due to the economy I had to find a job. Becoming a tutor will be a start in the right direction. I will do my very best to meet and exceed the student's need if given an opportunity. I demonstrated my teaching abilities at Williamsburg Elementary an Brightwood Elementary Schools (part of my college education). I enjoy math especially. Thank you in advance.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a certificate issued by The Zaner-Bloser Company. I received this certificate in 2008. I also have a certificate in Cursive writing. This was a requirement while earning my Associate Degree.
