About Jennifer

After my own struggles in math during high school and college, I become passionate about helping children understand math concepts so they could avoid the difficulties I faced. This passion led me to pursue a degree in elementary education. After ten years of teaching, I decided to continue my education and pursed my master's degree in elementary education and my certification as a math specialist.

I am currently employed as a math coach with Wake County Public Schools. I have 6 years of classroom experience and 5 years of math intervention experience. I would love to share my passion and knowledge with your student.

I have 5 years of experience as a math interventionist and 2 years of experience as a math coach at a Wake County elementary school. I am a certified as a math specialist for grades K-12. I have also presented to other educators at the North Carolina Council of Teacher of Mathematics conference.

I have 6 years of experience teaching and preparing 3rd and 4th graders for EOGs. I have also worked to prepare 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade intervention students for 5 years. I have led professional development for parents and educators on the Common Core State Standards.

Helping my fifth grader how to feel confident doing math

You can tell that Jennifer loves math and teaching it. Even during the second session I could hear my son becoming more comfortable with place value, 10 to the powers and fractions.
