Bio

I'm a two-time (soon to be three-time) Duke graduate studying biomedical engineering (BME). As a graduate student, I have served as a teaching assistant (TA) for four different BME courses: BME 271A: Signals & Systems, BME 303L: Modern Diagnostic Imaging Systems, BME 590: Magnetic Resonance Imaging - Principles & Sequence Design, and BME 790L: Signal Processing & Applied Mathematics. I'm a two-time (soon to be three-time) Duke graduate studying biomedical engineering (BME). I have also tutored more than two dozen Duke student athletes in topics ranging from introductory coding (in MATLAB) to Medical Instrumentation to Music Theory! Working with such a wide range of students in different disciplines has given me a unique viewpoint on what it takes to be a successful educator, and I hope we get the chance to work together!

Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. I love how there are explicit rules that will undoubtedly lead you toward the solution to any problem. I have taken multiple calculus courses in high school and college, including single variable and multivariable calculus, and I continue to use these skills in my current academic ventures.

Furthermore, since biomedical engineering is an amalgamation of electrical and mechanical engineering, I have taken a plethora of courses in these disciplines during my time as an undergraduate and a graduate student at Duke. I have also previously tutored students in ME 221: Structures & Properties of Solids, BME 271/ECE 280: Signals & Systems, and BME 354L: Medical Instrumentation.

Additionally, I am practically fluent in MATLAB (7 years of experience). I have previously tutored 10 undergraduate students in their introductory MATLAB coding courses.

Please reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns! I look forward to helping you reach your goals, and to hopefully have fun learning along the way!
