I am a Science and Math teacher at a private academy in Durham, NC. I love to teach but I especially enjoy working one on one with students. While in college I worked as a tutor after school hours. I mainly worked as a reading and math tutor.
My passion is to see the next generation push themselves beyond the limits they thought they could achieve. I do not want any of my students to be comfortable with being average. I want them to reach for the best in life. My goal is to give my students the tools they need in order to do that.
I majored in secondary mathematics in college, tutored elementary math during that time and now teach pre-calculus in a private academy.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
