Hello all! My name is George and I am here to help your aspirations come to fruition. I have a diverse academic background and understanding of how to make yourself stand out over other students in the highly competitive field of academia. Learning is fun. At this point in your life school shouldn't be stressful. I will do my absolute best to help you grasp this. Whether you are preparing for Engineering school or the rigors of Medical school, I will ground you and help you with the steps along the way. Don't worry about what's ahead. Obviously at this point in your life you have a solid foundation, otherwise you or your parents wouldn't have sought out a tutor. Understand that I love helping young people. It's the intrinsic value I get from knowing I helped untapped potential.
A little about myself is I completed my Bachelors in Criminology and Masters in Public Administration at Auburn University. While in graduate school I worked for the Office of Professional and Continuing Education. We recruited the best and brightest students across the country in various disciplines of study such as Architecture, multiple disciplines of Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, and Building Science. These high school students were immersed in the field of their choice in a week long academic mini camp on campus. Essentially I counseled students and parents on a variety of topics, all of which revolved around putting the students' interest first. As a tutor I will always put your interests first and will always do my best to help you get ahead in life.
Throughout my academic career I have taken an array of sociology and psychology course work. I have always been fascinated with how and why people think and act the way they do. I also am fascinated with various cultures and understanding different societal norms and faux pas.
English is my native language. I have a strong foundation and comprehension of reading and writing in English. As far as public speaking goes, I have a Masters in Public Administration, which is a Masters in Political Science. When's the last time you met a politician with poor public speaking skills?
GRE test preparation is paramount. Essentially every graduate school in America requires a GRE score. I can help you succeed in devising a proper study rubric and achieving the score you'd like to attain. If business school is your route, I can help you with the GMAT as well. I have taken both.
From the physical training, to diet, to studying film, and reaching out to various athletic programs I can help. Growing up in the south I know the ins and outs of football. It's surprisingly a game of politics and I have quite a network of coaches (in college) and players/friends that have made it to the NFL.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am here to help you and shed light on your academic journey. My hours of availability are quite flexible. Hello all! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
