I spent my undergraduate career working with the tutoring and academic success center at Cleveland state, and the math (only) tutoring center through the math department. I found, like many others, that it is a profoundly rewarding experience. My philosophy is simple, 'understanding is knowing what questions to ask'. I spent my undergraduate career working with the tutoring and academic success center at Cleveland state, and the math (only) tutoring center through the math department. I found, like many others, that it is a profoundly rewarding experience. My philosophy is simple, 'understanding is knowing what questions to ask'. Thus, you're better equipped for dealing with unfamiliar material later on. While working at TASC I attended biweekly tutor training, totaling to about 100 hours of training. I can help students determine their learning style, and develop effective learning strategies that they can carry with them in their academic career.

I have tutored remedial math and English up through 400 level undergraduate courses, such as abstract algebra, complex analysis, real analysis, mathematical modeling, probability(for the actuary exam) . I have a minor in philosophy as well, which was focused on a graduate track towards logic and epistemology.
I have also studied physics through EM, game theory. I am currently teaching myself how to use python to work with deep learning.

Actuarial Science

Actuarial Science

I taken 2 graduate courses focusing on actuary science, probability and financial mathematics. I have also tutored a couple students who were to take the actuary p1 exam and they both passed.

Computer

MATLAB

MATLAB

Almost all math courses I have taken have used Matlab extensively. I have also used Matlab for personal projects, such as analyzing sound. I have used Matlab for solving ODE, PDE, dynamics, Linear Algebra, statistics and signal processing.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I teach algebra at Lorain County Community College, and have tutored at CSU's math tutoring center for 2 years, which involved mostly algebra tutoring.
Calculus,

Calculus

I Hold Ba in mathematics. I was previously an instructor for calc 2 at Csu through TASC, for 4 years. I currently tutor various students in calc/differential equations.

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I have a BA degree in mathematics, and have taken the following courses related to DiffEq: Differential equations(mth 286), dynamical systems, mathematical modeling 1&2. I have also tutored in the Math Tutoring center, which often involved helping with these courses.
Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

Discrete mathematics is one of my hobbies to research, especially number theory. I have taken 3 semesters of abstract algebra. I have also taught abstract algebra, which includes a lot of discrete math, to a couple of students.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

I have taken linear algebra, received an A, Linear Algebra II, and Advanced Linear Algebra, and of course the various courses which used Linear Algebra. Differential Geometry was very much based on linear algebra, and I received an A- in this, as well as Algebraic topology, which had an algebraic perspective.
Logic,

Logic

I immediately tested into an undergraduate/graduate level logic course, in which I received an A, and helped other students. I also have done independent research in the field of multivalued propositional logic, using algebraic Geometry.

Matlab Tutor

My first class with Peter was very good, he guided me thru the programming techniques where I had issues. Enjoyed the class and learnt more details using Matlab. Will be taking many more lessons

Able to adjust thinking into a way I can process

I have been running into issues with forming a proper hypothesis. I chose Peter because he seemed to be a logical thinker. My thought pattern sometimes can seem hard to follow at first or not communicated in a way most understand. Peter was able to take the information given, my process and objectives to formulate everything I needed help with in a logical and reasonable manner to move forward with my paper after several failed college tutors.

Fantastic Tutor

Peter has a great deal of experience tutoring for working in the math learning lab. Patient, explains things accurately and clearly.
