As a father of four children, I have enjoyed my time helping and teaching them mathematics. Teaching them math involves helping them to understand the theory behind the numbers. Through analogies and visual examples, I've had much success strengthening their fundamentals and developing their skills. I'd like to give back to others and believe I can successfully tutor your child.

We have been working with Mike since Nov 2016. Mike arrives prepared and on time to work EVERY WEEK. Mike is very patient and works with Allen on weekly assignments and projects. Sometimes the session may require more than an hour but Mike is worth the time and committed to helping Allen understand and complete his homework. Recently Mike worked with Allen to complete the Survey Math Project. After the confirming the calculations were correct, Mike encouraged my son to write a summary and add a few additional details. The final project grade was 100%. Mike and Allen are a great fit and I am delighted.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm currently tutoring a 6th grader who started with a 74% and is now achieving a 85% in math.
I successfully tutored a 6th grader the 2nd semester last year who went from a 74 to an 86 as well as scoring his first 4 ever on the math EOG, which included Prealgebra.
