Appalachian State University (Accounting)
I am currently enrolled in the Appalachian State University Honors Program with a GPA of 3.85 and am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I graduated from a private high school summa cum laude with honors. I do not say these things to brag of my academic achievements, but rather to provide evidence of my genuine love for learning. I firmly believe that in today's world more than ever, knowledge is power and the best way to gain that knowledge is through learning as much relevant information as possible. Since I find learning so enjoyable, I consequently want to share that enjoyment with others by helping them learn as well.
My mother also runs a daycare service, which I have worked at in my spare time for the past four years. This experience has helped me become comfortable around children as well as experience first hand the joy of helping them learn something for the first time.
My goal with tutoring is to not only help someone learn about a topic he or she is struggling with, but to also help that individual understand how important it is to learn about that subject and the joy that comes with knowing more about it.
For tutoring, I am available on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, May 16th - August 5th, 2016, with the exception of June 6th-10th. I charge $50/hour. If help is needed during the hours and days not specified previously, I will try my best to work with you, but my fee will be $75/hour if I am available. I can travel to students and/or meet with them online.

For Bible Studies, I attended various private christian schools from K-5 through 12th grade and received an A in every Bible class I took.
For Proofreading, I was in Yearbook all four years of high school. I was some form of an editor each year, including head editor my senior year, and was thus proficient in proofreading the entire yearbook for any and all errors.
I completed AP U.S. History in high school as well as an American History course in college.
I played soccer from the time I was 3 years old through 8th grade. I know pretty much everything there is to know about the sport including proper passing, dribbling, shooting, and defending techniques, as well as the rules of the game.
When it comes to learning, I am truly passionate about both grasping new concepts for myself as well as teaching them to others. If there is any way that I can help you or your child learn about a difficult subject, please contact me as I would genuinely love to help. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

In high school, I took yearbook for four years and was some form of an editor each year. My senior year, I was even head editor of the entire book. As an editor, I became proficient in proof reading as I would often comb through the entire book for any and all errors including those pertaining to spelling and grammar. I have also received an A in two collegiate English classes, both of which involved the successful completion of error-free cumulative portfolios from the semester's work.
Reading comprehension has always been a core strength of mine. I have always been able to read at a level above my grade reading level. I achieved a 710 on the reading section of the SAT, and have received A's in two collegiate English classes.
I played soccer from the time I was three years old through 8th grade. I participated in various Rec-leagues including the YMCA and AYSO as well as was a member of a middle school soccer team from 5th-8th grade. Due to my own exceptional study skills, I have been able to graduate summa cum laude with honors from high school, gain acceptance into the honors program at Appalachian State University, and earn a 3.85 collegiate GPA. I wish to impart these skills to others so that they too can have academic success both now and in the future. Studying is not about just memorizing information for a short time, but about retaining that information for the foreseeable future. I wish to impart this skill to others through my tutoring of good study habits.
