Hello. I am a PhD degreed statistician with 15 years of teaching and consulting experience. I have taught many mathematics and statistics courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have taught both online and in the classroom.
My approach to math and statistics courses is to work with my students to figure out where their knowledge is currently. Once we have a benchmark I tailor the material to get you where you need to be as quickly as possible. I also try to fold in examples that are meaningful to individual students to make this as fun as possible.
I am very patient and understand that there are often multiple ways to solve a problem. I believe in teaching my students the approach that they find most straightforward.
Math and statistics does not have to be scary. I can point you to lots of online resources and always respond quickly to my students. Hello. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
