I’ve been a writing tutor since 2009 and have helped many, many students with the Common App and supplemental essays, as well as other academic writing. I have worked with students who have gotten accepted to Columbia, Vanderbilt, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina, and more. I was an instructor of University Writing for 2 years at Columbia University (while pursuing my PhD in Literature), have a Masters degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and have undergraduate English and Business degrees from the University of North Carolina. I have also served as a private tutor at Princeton Review and am currently on staff as a tutor at Charlotte Country Day School. I recently completed the Columbia University College Advising Program to continue to stay up to date on all of the latest research and trends in college counseling.

I have extensive experience helping students to get their writing to the next level. While I most commonly work with students on college application essays these days, I am quite familiar with all types of academic writing from my years at graduate school at Columbia and UPenn, as well as my years of tutoring.
