I’m 27, and graduated from college in December 2015. From August 2015 through June 2020, I taught AP Chemistry and Chemistry 1 at a public high school in Indiana. In my time there, students consistently scored at and above U.S. and global averages on the AP Chemistry exam. In June 2020, I decided to seek online-work during COVID, and not to return to the classroom virtually or in person as a teacher for fall 2020. I have found that I love creating educational content, illustrations, and tutoring online, and I do not plan to return to formal teaching in a classroom.

In June 2017, I began writing AP Chemistry test questions on Albert.io. These are specifically aligned to the topics and learning objectives, and have rationales for why the correct answer is correct, and why each incorrect choice is incorrect. Since I’m constantly looking at the Curriculum and Exam Description (CED), this job has made me extremely familiar with the content that is on the AP Chemistry exam, and how questions are typically asked by the College Board. I have also written content for the NY Regents Chemistry exam with this company.
I was required to learn LaTeX at a very fast pace for the hiring process of this company, and I’ve been using it since then daily. I also began using Adobe Illustrator and other softwares to create my own diagrams, illustrations, and graphs related to chemistry at this time.

Since 2017, I have continued writing Chemistry and AP Chemistry content for Albert.io, and have free-lanced and worked part time in chemistry content development. I started working for Bakpax.com part-time in June of 2020, and started freelancing chemistry content for education on upwork in August of 2020.

I also began tutoring online in March 2020, and have found that the online-format has many benefits for students; it’s quick and easy to sh

Wonderful teacher.

My child has been working with Mr. Corban for AP Chemistry since 10/10/2020. With Mr. Corbon's help, my son is able to enjoy learning and gain knowledge at the same time. I notice his stress level comes down after working with Mr. Corban. He is able to get an A and have time to work on other projects. My son likes Mr. Corbon, we recommend Mr. Corbon for Chemistry subject 1 on 1 tutoring.

Amazing teacher!!!

Again, Corban went above and beyond during our session to give me so much help and practice that I had not been getting in class. My confidence in my knowledge fonte material has greatly increased since our session, and I have gotten several topics straightened out in my mind, in addition to some strategies for approaching tougher questions. Thank you, Corban!

Resourceful Tutor

Corbin was very patient and showed me some nice short cuts to problems. We worked on stoichiometry and mole to mole conversions. I would definitely recommend him.

Amazing teacher!!!

Corban is a fantastic teacher. After one session, he taught me so thoroughly that I was able to make perfect scores on my next two quizzes. In reviewing for my test, he went and beyond, taking extra time to send me practice problems and charts to further to aid my study. Now, if I don’t understand something in class, I remember to keep it in mind for our next session, because I know he’ll be able to teach it to me!
