Bio

In high-school, I struggled significantly in mathematics. I finally sought out a tutor (begrudgingly, admittedly), and thanks to them, I graduated as the valedictorian of my class. Ironically, 8 years later, I have an MSPH in epidemiology and biostatistics (basically disease math). My tutor in high-school helped me build the foundation of my academic success; teaching is a passion of mine because I want to have the same impact.

Since high-school, I have had multiple opportunities to pursue that passion. In undergrad, I was a student tutor for sociology, anthropology, social science research methods, and scientific writing. While earning my Masters of Science in Public Health, I acted as a peer-mentor for newer students, and offered tutoring and advice in biostatistics, statistical analysis software, and scientific writing. Although I am now a working professional, I would still like to pursue my passion in teaching.

I have recently graduated with an MSPH in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of South Carolina. Throughout the program, I have been extensively trained in quantitative analytics ranging from basic statistics to advanced regression models and tests.

Feel free to contact me anytime for questions you may have about my teaching experience, qualifications, or even challenges I faced as a student! I am here to help in any way I can.

SAS

As an MSPH in epidemiology, I have been primarily trained in SAS. My program required I show an intense level of proficiency, and incorporated SAS into every aspect of the coursework. I specialize in data cleaning and formatting, large data sets, regressions, interactions, and tests for association. Relevant courses are: Introduction to Biostatistics, Intermediate biometrics, discrete data analysis, various biostatistics seminars, secondary data analysis, and various epidemiology courses.

Biostatistics,

Biostatistics

As an MSPH in Epidemiology, I am expected to be proficient in application of biostatistics. Relevant coursework includes: Introduction to biostatistics, intermediate biometrics, discrete data analysis, and various biostatistic seminars. All epidemiology classes require statistical methods such as multiple logistic regression, linear regression, and other tests for association.
Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

As a masters in epidemiology, I am required to be proficient in many methods of biostatistics. I am formally trained in SAS programming, and concentrate on Bayesian analyses methods for discrete outcomes. I now work as a biostatistician for a large health company.
