My name is Hannah and I am currently a first grade teacher in Concord, NC. I have taught first grade for 2 years. Prior to teaching first grade, I taught 4th grade in Rowan County. My favorite subject is English Language Arts. I enjoy writing and reading and sharing that passion with my students. At my school, I have tutored second and third graders. My student teaching experience was in 3rd grade. I am familiar with the Common Core and can create personal lesson plans to meet the needs of my kiddos.
I currently live in Charlotte with my cat. During my free time I love to read, run, and find new activities to engage my students in learning. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
