I have taught law-related classes for nearly 20 years. My love for teaching began in my 2L year at Wake Forest Law School where I served as a legal research and writing teaching assistant. I taught a class of 1L students the ins and outs of how to conduct legal research, distill that research into concise, persuasive arguments, and then effectively present those arguments both orally and in writing.
After law school I have continued teaching, presenting countless continuing legal education classes for fellow attorneys. I have taught on a wide range of topics ranging from frictional law to workers compensation and ethics. My ability to marry a strong grasp of the subject matter I teach with the practical lessons I've learned in my nearly 20 years of practicing law consistently make my classes some of the most popular and enjoyable based on the reviews I have received. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
