UNC Charlotte (English)
Hello and welcome to WyzAnt! My name is Mitch and I am graduate of UNC Charlotte with a B.A. Degree in English and a minor in Secondary Education. In my time at UNC Charlotte, I was a Writing Consultant for UNCC's prestigious Writing Resources Center for 2.5 years. After that, I began my Yearlong Student Internship at Hickory Ridge High School in Cabarrus County, where I received my North Carolina Standard Teaching Licensure I for 9-12.
As an alumnus of the last class of North Carolina Teaching Fellows, I pride myself in professionalism and making sure all of my students can comprehend, understand, and apply mastery into any concepts via backwards design and one-on-one instruction. I am currently a tutor for a learning center in Huntersville, with a preference for SAT Prep and Reading Essentials. I love everything there is about tutoring and teaching. If you have any questions about any of the subject areas I provide services for, feel free to schedule an appointment today!
As a former Writing Consultant for UNC Charlotte and a current professional tutor, I pride myself in making sure students understand the concepts behind reading and writing. Not only do I focus on reading and writing, I demonstrate different reading and writing strategies that will continue to foster an understanding and love for learning how to improve upon those skills for a lifetime.
If you want an energetic and thoughtful tutor who is interested in listening to what your needs are and tailoring interactive lessons that get to the root of your interests, then I urge you to schedule a lesson with me. Since I am new to this platform, my starting rates are the average low. My main concern is making sure you demonstrate mastery in your area of interest. Hello and welcome to WyzAnt! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
