UNC Charlotte (English)
My name is Madeline, and I have been teaching high school English for 3 years in Charlotte. I have extensive knowledge in American and British Literature, as well as writing processes and reading comprehension. I have also tutored elementary school children, and helped college students with various writing assignments. I have worked with former, as well as current, students to help improve comprehension, analysis, and understanding through the reading and writing processes.
I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2012 with a B.A. in English, and minor in Secondary Education; I have lived in Charlotte for about 6 years, and am extremely familiar with various parts of the city.
I have a busy schedule, so I do require a 24-cancellation notice, and will reschedule. I prefer to meet at a coffee shop, or a library, but am willing to go to the student's home.
I enjoy reading and writing, as well as do-it-yourself projects.
I look forward to hearing from you! Hi!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
