University of Montana (Elementary Ed)
Hi, I am a first grade teacher in a local school system. I love teaching first grade and helping children learn to read is important to me. I am a cum laude graduate of the University of Montana but I grew up in North Carolina. I have a double major in Elementary Education and in Early Childhood. I am a mother of a first year college student so I find I have more time to do what I love.
I do not have a tutoring office but have often used the public library. I find that the library is a quiet and comfortable place in which to study. I would be happy to travel to another location if that is more convenient for the student. I try to be flexible with my time but I would like at least a 5 hour cancellation notice. I do offer make up classes.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping your child achieve a successful outcome.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
