Dara helped me with my political science paper and I've learned a lot. She's taught me more things than my own professor which was amazing! I highly suggest that you pick Dara as your tutor. You won't be disappointed!!
I talked with more than a few tutors before deciding to meet with Dara. She isn't a pitchman or salesperson! That was a important to me. I believe that she will be very helpful to me! The LSAT is overwhelming enough without having to be bombarded with too much verbiage. Dara also has a likeable demeanor and a spirited personality. I'm looking forward to learning from her and having her arm me with the tool necessary to tackle the LSAT. I wish I had found her sooner!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took the bar exam recently, in February of 2012, and passed my first time. I studied for the bar using a bar prep program, but I did some additional studying on my own. I have mentored others taking the bar, and I understand the best strategies to pass the California bar specifically.
I was a corporate communications major in college, where I also worked as a communications fellow. I aced every marketing course I took and mentored other students in those classes as well.
I am qualified to teach study skills because along with doing well in primary school, I graduated college with a 3.6. I have also taken the SAT, LSAT, and passed the California Bar on my first attempt. I already tutor for the LSAT and for the BAR, which is primarily study skills and how to study correctly.
