Mansfield Universiety of Pennsylvania (Elementary Education)
Hi!! I am a 23 year old recent graduate of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education & a minor in Psychology: Human Development. I started working with children as soon as I was legally able, which in turn means that I have a large amount of experience both inside and outside of my degree requirements. I have a passion for teaching and it comes extremely natural to me. Every lesson or activity that I make is always strategically created to engage and inspire the child's mind through hands-on learning. I believe that children best remember material that is offered to them through a realistic approach, always answering the "Why?" and "How?" of any idea or concept. One of my main strengths is being able to teach a lesson many different ways. Children sometimes feel that they need to master material the first time around, when in reality, repetition is necessary for anyone to gain knowledge. If a child is unable to fully understand a concept, I can rework the lesson, give a different analogy, show a video clip, take a field trip, build a model, something to put a different light on the subject. With most struggling children, they only need that extra twist on things to be able to understand. I know I can help your child succeed in their weak areas and flourish in their strong ones. Please send me a message today!!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
