Bio

Hi, I'm Marcus, a 25 year old tutor preparing for Law School. I double majored at DePauw University in Latin and English (Literature). I've also taken the LSAT (law school admissions test) and scored a 178! I'm well qualified to tutor the Latin language, English reading and writing, and LSAT prep. I hope I can be of service.

I've also taken the LSAT (law school admissions test) and scored a 178! I'm well qualified to tutor the Latin language, English reading and writing, and LSAT prep. I hope I can be of service.

I have taken Latin since 7th grade, receiving a Maxima Cum Laude on the National Latin Exam when I was in just 9th grade. While studying for my degree, I was invited to Eta Sigma Phi classics fraternity for outstanding performance and received the Kairos Award for Achievement in Advanced Latin. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was invited to Phi Beta Kappa for my overall performance at DePauw. I have also participated in two archeological digs, one in central Italy and another in Romania. I also lived in Athens for close to a year!

I've always loved reading and knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue literature as a path of study. While in high school I studied logic and was taught rhetoric with a focus on composing writing to be used in public speeches. While in undergrad I made the deans list every semester with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and my final semester was an independent study I conducted one-on-one with Professor David Alvarez, a enlightenment-era scholar with a focus on religious satire. I wrote my thesis on Johnathan Swift's work "A Tale of a Tub".

I began studying for the LSAT for several years and intend to matriculate in the fall of 2022. I have consistently practice tested within the 170s (the 99th percentile) and am currently awaiting the results of my official exam. I was schooled in formal logic while in high school and took courses at DePauw. My degrees in English and Latin certainly help with my close reading and attention to detail--things that are absolutely critical on the Law School Admission Test!

I went to a classical school that begins teaching Latin and classical history in the third grade! I loved history, and particularly enjoyed stories of ancien
