UNC Chapel Hill (Mathematics)
As a recent graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a 4.0 GPA, I will bring energy, commitment and the necessary knowledge to our tutoring sessions. I excel at algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics and much more advanced courses such as real and complex analysis, linear algebra and differential equations. I will make sure you understand the subject as much as I do at the end of the day.
I have been a tutor at both the learning center and the department of mathematics at UNC. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have studied first order, second order, higher order and systems of differential equations at UNC-Chapel Hill and finished with an A in the course. Differential equations are very practice oriented. In my tutoring sessions, I would always make sure students get hands-on experience to learn the mechanics first, but also introduce to them the beautiful underlying principles.
