I am an elementary school teacher who is currently on extended maternity leave. I am working part-time for Harvard School of Education, but I am also seeking out potential students to tutor privately. I have 7 years of experience as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, and instructional facilitator. I have experience working with EC, ELL, and AIG students and am very skilled at differentiated instruction. I earned my Master’s Degree in Literacy (K-12) from UNC-Chapel Hill. While literacy is my expertise, I am competent and certified to tutor in any subject area. I also offer enrichment activities for students who need extension. Please contact me if you would like to talk about how I can help your child. I look forward to hearing from you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have played soccer competitively most of my life. I played club and school soccer through high school, and have played a few seasons of adult league soccer over the last few years.
