About Olgha

A doctoral candidate at NC State University and a co-author of a math book (Algebra Essentials), with a BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering.

Olgha has been teaching and tutoring elementary, middle, high school and college students for over 25 years!

In addition to tutoring math, Olgha had 7 years of work experience in training and programming in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and more.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I just published an Algebra essential book called "Algebra Essentials". During Algebra tutoring to high school and college students, we cover basic concepts that include: arithmetic operations, natural numbers, fractions,rational and irrational numbers, algebraic expressions and operations, factoring, linear and quadratic equations. My style is very systemic and will not move on to a new topic until you are comfortable with the material.

Algebra 2

I typically teach adult students in my GED classroom different Algebra techniques to help them with their math skills. A common feedback I receive is that I make math easy and that I break problems down to simple steps to solve.

Arabic

I grew up in the middle east and went to private school overseas until 8th grade. I can converse, read, and write Arabic fluently. My dialect is in eastern Arabic (Jordan/Palestine region).

General Computer

I am fluent in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow. I worked for the Mathworks for 7 years and was a trainer in all three areas for over 5 years. I also consult as well. I've worked with automotive, biomedical, aerospace, defense, and academics industries. I'm currently working on my doctorate degree at NCSU in Adult and Higher Education.

MATLAB

I worked for the MathWorks for 7 years, where I developed and taught courses for clients in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.

Precalculus

Currently, I am tutoring high school and college students in Precalculus. Concepts include unit circle, trigonometric functions, identities, and equations as well as systems of equations and inequalities. My approach is pragmatic and go step-by-step with you until you are fully comfortable with each concepts.
