Olgha is friendly and our first lesson was very productive! She adapted to my learning style and helped me to better organize my studies. I look forward to continuing my tutoring with Olgha!
Olgha is a wonderful tutor. She has helped me understand what I consider complex math problems in a simple way. With only two sessions, I feel more confident in my homework lessons and look forward to working with her more!
My daughter immediately felt comfortable and at ease with Olgha. She was able to quickly grasp math concepts and improved her math grade after just one session. We would highly recommend Olgha and look forward to more sessions with her.
If you're learning Arabic, you know how uncomfortable it can be to speak to someone in a language that you don't know well. Sometimes it's embarrassing and occasionally you shy away from trying new things - Olgha makes you absolutely comfortable in whatever level you're currently learning. She does not lose her patience when you need her to repeat something 5 times and she admits that even she is still learning- which is very humble of her. She is considerate of your comfort during the lessons. She will tell you to be direct with her - if she's moving too fast, tell her. If you need her to explain something again, tell her. She won't lose her patience and welcomes your input.
In addition to her great presence and manner, she is more than willing to adapt to your distinct learning style. I am learning conversational Arabic which is solely dependent on pronunciation. Olgha was willing to record herself speaking the vocabulary words so that I would be able to play them back when I studied. She's sent me helpful tools, like videos, also.
She's very adaptable with your schedule and meeting place. Well organized, also.
Studying a language takes discipline and Olgha will emphasize this point. If you're not going to study outside of your meetings, then Olgha is not for you. She is the real deal and pushes you to work hard - which is what you should look for in an Arabic instructor/tutor.
Overall, I highly recommend her.
Olgha was well prepared before our session started. She already had an outline of key important features needed to sucessfully understand MATLAB. Her explanations of MATLAB were very thorough and easy to understand. I wished I knew of her tutoring before; it would have made my learning of MATLAB much easier. In addition, she helped me better understand how to do Fourier Analysis and plots with MATLAB in an easy and efficient manner. She has a gift for teaching and transferring knowledge to others. I would highly recommend Olgha to any students (undergrad and grad) needed help with MATLAB, Signal Processing and Math.
Thank you so much for your help!
My tutorial lessons with Olgha have been helpful, enjoyable and productive. She is patient and encouraging and explains things clearly. I am definitely getting a lot out of our time together.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I just published an Algebra essential book called "Algebra Essentials". During Algebra tutoring to high school and college students, we cover basic concepts that include: arithmetic operations, natural numbers, fractions, rational and irrational numbers, algebraic expressions and operations, factoring, linear and quadratic equations. My style is very systemic and will not move on to a new topic until you are comfortable with the material.
I typically teach adult students in my GED classroom different Algebra techniques to help them with their math skills. A common feedback I receive is that I make math easy and that I break problems down to simple steps to solve.
I grew up in the middle east and went to private school overseas until 8th grade. I can converse, read, and write Arabic fluently. My dialect is in eastern Arabic (Jordan/Palestine region).
I am fluent in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow. I worked for the Mathworks for 7 years and was a trainer in all three areas for over 5 years. I also consult as well. I've worked with automotive, biomedical, aerospace, defense, and academics industries. I'm currently working on my doctorate degree at NCSU in Adult and Higher Education.
I worked for the MathWorks for 7 years, where I developed and taught courses for clients in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
Currently, I am tutoring high school and college students in Precalculus. Concepts include unit circle, trigonometric functions, identities, and equations as well as systems of equations and inequalities. My approach is pragmatic and go step-by-step with you until you are fully comfortable with each concepts.
