Hi there! I am a few years out of college and working as a part-time tutor, specializing in writing, reading comprehension and the social sciences. My Bachelor's Degree is in English and American Studies, with a concentration in Education. I have 300+ hours of tutoring experience, plus professional editorial experience, and I've taught a couple of undergraduate college courses.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, tailored to your ideas and questions. No two sessions will ever look the same! I work with students as young as third grade and as old as graduate level work—and I have dozens of five star reviews on various tutoring platforms to show for it. The best part? Since I'm in my mid twenties, recently graduated summa cum laude from college, and have several younger sisters, I can relate to wherever you are on your educational journey. I'm excited to give my expert opinion you on how to complete course work to bring you lasting success.

As an undergraduate at Tufts University, I was trained in a multidisciplinary, big picture method of editing and revising writing as part of the Writing Fellows Program. Every semester, I worked one on one with my college peers to improve their essay writing, resulting in 3+ years of experience. I also worked as an editorial fellow for Beacon Press, a well regarded, nonfiction book publishing firm.

My Bachelor's Degree is in American Studies, a discipline which has been a passion of mine since I took on APUSH in high school, and achieved a 5 on the exam to show for it. I also designed and taught my own undergraduate level course on hidden parts of American History, and a second course on the American education system.

I'm free when you are! Let me know when you would like to work together. I look forward to meeting you!

Gabriela is an excellent tutor. She helps my senior high school daughter for her college essays. My daughter loves her style and her work ethic to help her reach her goals. Currently, she got accepted from 4 colleges. She is one of the best tutors. I can’t thank her enough for her help and support in this process. Many thanks Gabriela!!!

Great at polishing essays, gives good advice, fast turn around

Gabriela was able to look at both of my college application essays. She is great at editing and polishing papers. Gabriela works quickly with good suggestions. She edits your essay so you are able to see the changes and you can accept or reject them. She will ask you to do some more work on an essay if she thinks it would be stronger with examples; she will tell you where to add sentences etc. I have always struggled with writing, and she made my ideas come to fruition. I highly recommend Gabriela and will be using her services again in the future! - Rosario
