I taught on-line Advanced Electromagnetic Wave Theory to graduate level students at Western Carolina University. I also taught Advanced Commercial / Instrument Instructor Aerodynamics, Aviation Science
Taught Mechanics, Propulsion, Weight and Balance, Navigation and Meteorology. I was a professional airline pilot and chief flight instructor. I tutored Computer Science, Micro Computers, Assembler language, Electrical Engineering Circuits and C Programming.
Tutoring or teaching is mutually helpful to the student and instructor or professor, in that both gain knowledge, which in turn effects further understanding in areas of interest. Gained knowledge in and of itself does not constitute learning. Learning requires history, without exception, and revisiting the past is my pleasure. To understand the present one must understand the past, regardless of the topic under discussion. Helping people is a good thing and this is my passion.
Since the late seventies, math has been an integral part in the makeup of the foundation, which has supported my higher learning. Higher learning in areas such as Aeronautics, Aviation Science, Flight, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Wave Theory, Computer Programming and Digital logic. In brief to understand Electromagnetic Wave Theory, a person must have facility in theory and application of higher mathematics such as, Vector Calculus, Partial Differential Equations, both linear and non-linear, Probability, Matrix Algebra, Numerical Analysis via Computer Programming and Number Systems. This is a fraction, pun intended, of the math kKnowledge that must be in hand.
When Eastern Airlines closed somewhere near 1992, I decided to return to school full time. During this academic period I earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Optical Science founded on electromagnetic wave theory applied to medical imaging. In the year 2002 while independently pursuing the PhD I designed and built an Electrical Optical Medical Imaging system at Harvard Medical, in Massachusetts. Prior to this Microwave Radar and Communications were fundamental areas of design and development. Analog Electronics is one of my past time strengths.
I began programming in 1972 and have continued to present day. C programming is the core basis of all computer systems throughout the world. C programming is a language uniquely defined by a code standard that allows for effective use and application of any computer. C programming is the foundation of Computer Science.
In summary, it will be my pleasure to help anyone realize further understanding in the areas mentioned above whenever possible.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Education background consist of a PhD in Optical Science and Electrical Engineering, along with an MSEE and BSEE. Before earning the BSEE, there were three years of formal study and application of C Coding.
Experience with C coding has been in fields such as Automated Test Engineering, Robotic Control, Numerical Simulations and embedded controllers. Programming Computers and writing programs is a central part of Electrical Engineering which is my primary discipline.
Early experience in computer programming consisted of writing programs to control microwave test equipment as well as electro mechanical devices. Later on Data Analysis or numerical analysis became required for quantifying semiconductor performance, and data logging of measured responses was also coded in C.
Electrical Engineering provided additional insight into C coding with the required study of microcomputers and controllers. Digital Logic offered an in-depth view of exactly how memory is organized and managed using C.
Though other coding languages exist, the fact is that C is the foundation of any and all significant applications involved in computer control. This is the primary reason for dedicating decades toward the study and application of C.
