I am an elementary school teacher who has taught students with IEPs in reading, math, writing and behavior. I am also AIG certified which makes me well rounded. I have experience at the high school level in PreAlgebra and Algebra I. I also worked as the Senior Accounting Associate in a previous job. I am excellent in math and reading. I also have excellent people skills. At the elementary level we teach all subjects so I can help. I love teaching. I believe it is my calling which is why I left an accounting position at a Fortune 500 company to educate our children. I am committed to education and the success of every student entrusted to me.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am certified by the state of North Carolina in Elementary K-6. I taught first grade for the past two years. I am finishing up my first year teaching second grade. I also have an AIG certification added to my teaching license. I will complete all requirements for my Master's degree in Elementary Education (MEd) this summer August 2014.
