I am an adjunct instructor at a community college who teaches drawing, illustration and typography. I have a passion for learning and teaching and have worked with students of all ages. My classroom has a structured but creative environment. I push my students to reach their potential and goals everyday. We have fun but also get our work done!
I have worked with elementary students at a summer camp, helping with various activities focusing on team building and building their confidence and interpersonal skills.
I have a bachelors degree and have taken biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology. I excelled in all subjects as a student and can translate that into teaching.
I have a BFA in design and new media. I have taken various drawing and design classes. I have an in depth knowledge in this field.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a BFA from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and have successfully completed courses such as drawing and life drawing. I have taught at a community college teaching two sections of drawing covering skills that include but are not limited to contour, blind contour, construction lines, positive and negative space, planar analysis, hatching, cross hatching, shading, anatomy, still drawing, observational drawing, and perspective techniques. I have been able to teach how to apply drawing to graphic design.
I have a BFA in Art: Graphic Design and have taken various classes including but not limited to letters signs and symbols, books and images, color theory, image sequencing, photography, graphic design, typography and interactive web design. I have worked for an advertising agency completing assignments such as logo design, booklet design, website layout, and poster design. I am teaching in the graphic design and advertising department at a local community college.
