Bachelor's in Elementary Education (Elementary Education)
Hey! I am a current student at Appalachian State University. I will finish my coursework in the next few months, and I will be taking my teaching licensures test this summer. I will student teach in the fall of 2016, and I will graduate with my bachelor's degree in elementary education in December. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I love working with children.
I believe that I am qualified to be a tutor because I am learning Common Core based techniques in my current classes at ASU. I have had many experiences working in classrooms in internship settings, so I am very familiar with working with students on class work and homework. Above all, I know that children enjoy working with me, and I can making learning fun for my students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
