Indiana University - Bloomington (Master's)
Hi, future students!
I just moved to Beaufort, North Carolina, and I am excited to work with you to help you improve in reading, writing, French, or Spanish. My Bachelor's degrees were in Anthropology and French with a Spanish minor. I just received my Master's degree in environmental policy and natural resource management, too. So I have a lot of experience in school!
In addition to my own education, I tutored in France from 2011 to 2012. I worked with elementary students and taught English reading and writing. In 2012, I worked with foreign college students to help improve both English and French language proficiency. From 2013 to 2014, I worked with students aged 6 through 12 at a Boys and Girls Club chapter. I built my own curriculum and taught art classes to up to 35 students per class session, with two sessions per day.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Indiana University. In addition, I worked in France and in the Dominican Republic on anthropological and environmental research. I have a passion for anthropology and love sharing my knowledge of social science methodology, writing, and cultural practices!
I studied French in a formal classroom setting for 8 years. In addition, I attended a French university in Southern France for one year. All classes were taught in French, and I achieved professional proficiency. I tutored French elementary-aged children while abroad.
I studied Spanish in a formal setting for 7 years. I worked in the Dominican Republic for 3 months conducting research. My skills in Spanish extend to reading and writing, though I can communicate fairly well.
I have worked with and tutored a variety of school-aged children in reading and writing, from French-speaking elementary students to Chinese students studying at Indiana University.
Please contact me to set up a time to meet and learn! I would be more than willing to answer any questions you may have about my qualifications and skillset. Thank you! Hi, future students!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. I have done research in France and in the Dominican Republic. I taught arts-based courses at a Boys and Girls Club to students ages 6-12, with a focus on cultural events and traditions in different regions around the world.
