For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taught study skills to typically developing students and special needs students for 16 total years. Time management and materials management can be taught using visual schedules, color coding, an alarm, visual cues, clear practices and modeling of behaviors that demonstrate organization and study skills- how to skim a chapter, what bold words mean, creating useful study materials, organization of materials, time management, etc. These skills can appear equally unimportant or overwhelming to a student who has not yet learned study skills. I can teach these skills to students of a variety of needs, learning styles, and interest levels and I will make it fun.
