Dear Students--
Math may not be your favorite subject, and that's okay. I'm here to help you get to where you want to be. I'm not your parent, I'm not your teacher, I'm simply here to help. And there's nothing I love more than making students lives easier by helping them with this subject.

I know where you've been--I struggled with math when I was in 8th grade, but thanks to some tips I learned that I still use today with my own students, I was able to succeed and excel, and I believe you...

I will not do your homework for you. I will help you to get it done, and make sure you understand it. That means you may be asked to do problems other than the ones on your homework so that we can be sure you know what to do.

I tell all my students: try one session with me. If you don't feel like it helped, you're welcome to find another tutor.

Dear Parents--

I am able to help your child with math. But even bigger than that, what I find happens as a result of them understanding the subject is that their confidence grows. Over and over again parents have said to me that that they see that confidence increase in their child after a few sessions with me.

My job as your child's tutor is to put myself out of business--to give them the skills and confidence they need to do it on their own. I love what I do and am honored anytime a parent trusts a portion of their child's education to me.

I tell parents of all potential students: give your child the opportunity to try one session with me. If your child does not feel it will help, you are welcome to look for another tutor.

With regards to SAT Math: the SAT Math problems are written in a way students are not used to seeing math problems written. Namely, SAT Math questions can be quite wordy, and students think they are all, therefore, "word problems." And most students don't like word problems. But it's a myth that the SAT is a lot of word problems. There are many misunderstandings out there about the SAT. I give students the information they need to feel more co

I learned how to study from my teachers in AP classes in high school. I further honed my study skills while managing a full course-load in college. As a tutor for over twelve years, I have helped many students with their study skills and increased my knowledge of the many different methods that exist for studying (e.g. SQ3R). I have also helped students set up study schedules in order to prepare for mid-term or final exams.

Excellent Tutor

Rebecca helped tutor my son for the TEAS Test. She came in listen to our concerns, answered our questions and got to work. We were very lucky to have found her and know that you will not be disappointed if you chose Rebecca as your tutor.

Amazing Tutor

Rebecca made my math course easy and understandable. I usually struggled in math, but with her help I passed with an A. She is easy to reach and replies within a few hours. She listens to what her student needs and explains everything with detail. With Rebecca's help math class was understandable and easy rather than confusing. Rebecca's patience and excellent instruction are what make her a fantastic tutor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.

Wonderful Wizard of Algebra

Rebecca was truly a wonderful Algebra 1 tutor for our high school student. She immediately put our daughter at ease, and helped build her confidence and reduce her test anxiety. She built upon her strengths, reviewed the fundamentals and always gave her skills to work on systematically in order to pass the Regents Test in a relatively short amount of time. Our family highly recommends Rebecca as a very knowledgeable. enthusiastic, organized, friendly and results oriented tutor.

Great Geometry Tutor

I am so thankful that Rebecca is tutoring my son. His teacher told me that he is more confident now. I felt that Rebecca was going to be a great fit for my son. She is very positive, and he feels comfortable with her. He has made 100s on the assignments that she has helped him complete. His geometry grade has gone up, and I am happy.
