Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anthropology

Anthropology was one of the five subjects earned in my broad field social studies major from Western Montana College in 1992.

My other four social studies subjects were history, sociology, economics, and government. Please ask to see my teaching endorsements with the Montana Office of Public Instruction.

Football

In 1971 and 1972 I played junior high school football for Harlowton Junior High School as a middle linebacker and a fullback. Our primary offense was the same as in high school at Harlowton High School - the triple option. From 1973 to 1976 I was also a fullback and linebacker at HHS for head coach Jim Myers. In 1976 I was awarded as a Montana All-State first team running back and as All-State second team linebacker.

I next was an outside linebacker for Western Montana College in Dillon, Montana, from 1976 - 1979. In 1978 I was an All-Frontier Conference first team linebacker.

I returned to W.M.C. in 1990 and 1991 as a graduate assistant football coach for head coach George Nelson.

Since then, I have been an assistant high school or junior high school football coach in 6, 8, and 11 man football in Montana and in Silver Stage High School in Silver Springs, Nevada.

I have been retired from coaching football since 2009.

Social Studies

I earned a broad field major in Social Studies from Western Montana College in 1992. This major was composed of the subjects of anthropology, history, sociology, economics, and government.
