Throughout many years in the classroom I have learned to make learning fun! I ask all of my students how they learn and why they are in the course. It is important to associate the information received to the students' life. How else would we retain any information? Things such as grammar or math can be tedious for anyone but if we make it creative and relevant and then anyone can learn. I am a clear communicator and a fair professor. I ask questions and elicit the answer without giving up on you. I am an open-minded and patient listener who values personal integrity and ambitiousness.
As a teacher of Languages and throughout a wide background of international experiences I have learned many organizational skills. When in Sao Paulo, Brazil I marketed and organized my own private English as a Foreign Language class, with whom I meet on an individual and on a group basis. I have also taught large classrooms of ESL students and university freshman.
I am highly proficient in the French language having studied abroad for two years in France and having majored in the subject and its culture as an undergraduate. I also speak and write Portuguese well. I learn languages at an accelerated speed and have a natural ability to understand and connect with international cultures. I have also always been a leader in the international classroom. I was highly successful in my study of International Business Administration, including but not limited to the study of Finance, Marketing Business Law, Organizational and Consumer Behavior and Economics.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
