I enjoy working with people of all ages but have special expertise in working with those who are young adult and adult learners. I have experience as a teacher in the USA and, having lived in Thailand for four years, in an overseas setting. Because I have traveled to many countries, I appreciate the culture, language, education and religious traditions of people from around the world. I believe this makes me a "better" tutor of the subjects I like to teach.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Throughout my educational career, I have been writing!
Yes, in my profession I was required to write regularly for teaching and communication I enjoy sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary study and like to challenge students to write as much as they can. My method is to ask students, especially those who are learning English, to write their stories (fiction or non fiction) and learn from their mistakes. We only learn to write if we practice writing, beginners and advanced alike.
