Mississippi University for Women (Elementary Education)
Hi, my name is Tiffany! I am currently a senior at Mississippi University for Women. My major is English with a minor in Paralegal Studies. I also have a little background in elementary education. I graduated from Corinth High School in 2010. I was in the top 25 of my class. I was a Mississippi Scholars graduate. I am a member of Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society. While in high school I was in the Spanish club, Mu Alpha Theta, and band. I played the flute and pit percussion and I was on the color guard line for a year. In college, I became a member of Bench and Gavel and BSU. I received my Mississippi Scholars volunteer hours volunteering with the 6 years old through babies for Wednesday night bible classes. I have tutored in math in high school. I love when I am teaching someone something and when he/she finally gets it, a little light bulb above his/her head goes off. I love children and helping them learn new things. I now tutor at a writing center.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken U.S. I and II along with world geography on a college level. I scored in the top percent on the state test in high school. I have a love for history and would enjoy passing it on to someone else.
