Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

During Jillian's undergraduate studies, she earned a business administration minor. Since that time, knowledge of business courses such as accounting, statistics, economics, and organizational management have guided the development of her education firm. The concepts learned from the aforementioned courses are continually revisited to make data-driven decisions regarding efforts to support clients as well as efforts to build a sustainable educational support service. By choosing Jillian's service, clients benefit from the marriage of knowledge of business concepts with real world application.

Organic Chemistry

Jillian is certified to teach by the Mississippi Department of Education. She has several years of tutoring experience in English, math, and science. Also, she has worked with students of all ages. Her educational background includes a degree in chemistry, as well as graduate coursework.

Organic chemistry is the chemistry of carbon and life. Organic chemistry is more than simply the study of carbon or the study of chemicals in living organisms. Since not all carbon reactions are organic, another way to look at organic chemistry would be to consider it the study of molecules containing the carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bond and their reactions.

Additionally, thousands of nonliving things (such as drugs, plastics, and dyes) are made from carbon compounds. Diamonds are carbon atoms in a crystal structure. Diamonds are so hard because the atoms of carbon are so closely bonded together in the crystal form. That same ability to pack closely together makes carbon an excellent structural element in its other forms as well.

One atom of carbon can combine with up to four other atoms. Therefore, organic compounds usually are large and can have several atoms and molecules bonded together. Organic molecules can be large, and they comprise the structural components of living organisms: carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids.

Proofreading

Jillian has worked with students of all ages and proofread for organizations. Her educational background includes a degree in chemistry, as well as graduate coursework.

Let's just say she is not getting enough help from her math teacher in school. I've had several meetings with my daughters math teacher and counselor to see if there were any other ways they could help my daughter; but they offered no other help except to connect her with a n ...
