I'm a Ph.D. student in chemistry at the University of Mississippi. Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant while conducting my research work in organic chemistry. As a chemistry major undergrad, I started my academic career at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. After successful completion of my undergrad degree, I started my graduate studies in Analytical chemistry. Then, I did a master's degree in analytical chemistry at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. While doing my master's degree, I worked as a teaching assistant at the same university. As a teaching assistant, I conducted chemistry lectures and lab classes.
After completing my master’s degree, in 2019, I got a full scholarship from the University of Mississippi to continue my studies toward a Ph.D. I could pass both GRE and IELTS to fulfill their admission requirements. I'm studying organic chemistry for my Ph.D. I obtained an outstanding graduate student award in organic chemistry from the University of Mississippi. Further, I'm working as a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, I'm responsible for conducting chemistry lab classes, lectures, and the student help desk. I'm in the final year of my Ph.D. and about to finish it at the end of this year. Currently, I have eight chemistry research publications in high-impact factor journals. To apply to grad school I did GRE and passed and full fill the marks graduate school require. I scored mostly in the maths section and I have good experience of passing the GRE by doing great in maths.
