I absolutely LOVE teaching! I love it so much that I am entering my 25th year of teaching elementary school. I spent most of those years teaching 4th and 5th grades, but I have spent the last 6 years teaching gifted. I was honored to have been selected as Teacher of the Year in 2015 and District Teacher of the Year also in 2015. My passion is finding a positive connection with students and using that connection to empower them to do their best work.

I love nature, animals, and reading! I believe in being a life-long learner and instilling that passion in my students. There is nothing more rewarding as a teacher than bringing out the confidence in a student to master a difficult concept and take ownership of it. I hope to have the opportunity to help you academically in anyway that I can!

I currently work in the public school system which gives me first hand knowledge of best math practices and the ability to prepare for state tests.

Science is my passion! I love to share my enthusiasm of the world around us with my students. From the metamorphosis of a butterfly, to the three types of rocks and the engineering design process, science is a subject that I can help you explore.

The written and spoken word are the most powerful tools of influence that we have today. It is an honor for me to work with students and help them discover the art of writing and reading which will give them a strong foundation for their future adventures in life.
