Group rates are good! Example, 3 people to make up one group will have a reduction of 15% in their rate, provided they are tutored on the same subject!
She was very helpful with the Praxis 2 information I needed help on the most. I could not have chose a better tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Tutoring/teaching are conducted on all subjects from Pre-K-6th grade. Subjects noted as Reading, Phonics, Religion, Social Studies, Spelling, World History and American History. Some of the Curriculums are based on Religious background. These subjects were taught in public/private schools and on state level for Mississippi. My degrees are bachelor in Social Science, Master in Education Leadership/Principal Administration and Dr. in Divinity.
In teaching various subjects, Reading is a core foundation in learning. Phonics is a start-up for the basics in Reading. Pronouncing letters and making sounds are phonics. I usually give a pre-test that will guide me through the students' learning gaps in teaching phonics technology. For an example, the use of alphabets using the short and long sounds will be next. Sounding out consonant sounds such as, ch= which. At another stage of learning, homophones are good; words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings. I am capable of teaching all grade levels in phonics. For an example, my oldest student was 45 and could not read. At this point, simple A,B,C was implemented and he used a tape recorder for reinforcements. Also, other educational measures were used to help this student. Presently I am tutoring Pre-K-Adults in Phonics and Reading. My degrees are; bachelor in Social Science Education, Master in Education Leadership/Principal Administration and Dr. in Divinity.
There are two parts to the Praxis test. Praxis I (PPST) and Praxis II (PPLT). The Praxis I is Math, Reading and multiple choice questions. The last portion consist of an essay for the writing phase of the test. The tests prepares you for a career in the educational areana. The Praxis II, covers the content area (subject) or degree you have acquired. I am now tutoring students for this Praxis I and Praxis II test on daily basis. My major is centered around education. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Science Education, Master's in Religion Education, Master's in Education Leadership for Principal and Administration for Pre-K to 12th grade, and Doctor's in Divnity. My diversity with all subjects in teaching ABE/GED Adult Basic Education and General Education prepared me quite well for teaching these subjects.
Reading, indeed, is fun with a purpose! My A,B,C's, phonics and etc., play a very important part in Reading. My background includes: Bachelor in Social Science, Masters in Educational Leadership for Principal/Administration and Dr. in Divinity. Facilitation performed for Pre-K-Adult students in workshops for licensed day-care teachers and directors along with tutoring is very rewarding.
Teaching seminary students are somewhat different from your non-religious student. The majority of these students are fighting for salvation! When you proclaim to be in the body of Christ, you look at the world differently. One of the foundation subjects that I taught was Christian Education. This course stressed Christian ethics in our everyday life. Theology is a good course that teaches the nature, reality, character and work of God. My philosophy is defending the Christian faith by exemplifying philosophical issues through Christian Philosophy. My means will be from the Old Testament(Genesis) to the end of the New Testament(Revelations). I was ordained in 2006 into the ministry. My degrees are bachelor of Social Science Education, Master of Religion Education, Master of Education Leadership/Principal Administration and Dr. in Divinity.
