Hello, my name is Jonathan Jackson. I was born in Natchez, MS. I went to a catholic school in Natchez call Cathedral for majority of my grade school. There, I was very active at school. I played basketball, baseball, football, and ran track. I had many accomplishments at Cathedral, such as, being apart in winning the Mississippi State Championship in baseball, being the state player of the week in football for scoring seven touchdowns in one game, and numerous of individuals from Cathedral like Team Captain, Best Offensive and Defensive Player, and 1st team All Districts award. Nevertheless, sports were not the only achievement in my life. I also had countless of honors award for my grades, but what I am most proud of is, the award I receive for helping saving a woman out of a burning house. Next, I attended Jackson State University in 2004, and graduated in 2008. In college, I was committed to the COGIC (Church of God in Christ Club and serve as business manager and vice president, the accounting society, and NABA (National Association of Black Accountant). I was also on the Dean List for Jackson State. Next, I completed my Master of the University of Phoenix.
Currently, I am working in Jackson, MS at Department of Human Services, in Budget and Accounting. I attend Davis Temple serving as junior deacon, assist with the financing, and assistant to the pastor. Now I’m in school now seeking to get my master in accountancy to help prepare for the CPA exam. Nevertheless, I'm looking to give back and help people make it like individuals help me. I always had a passionate to teach and help people learn. I love to see people learn and watch them make it in life. Most recently, I help a student turn from making C's and D's to making A'a and B's. We are our brothers keeper, and if there anyway I can help someone make it, I will.
He is very helpful.

Students like Joseph are why I regret not becoming a teacher. I'm just glad that I can help Joseph understand his material. As a black man, I know how important education is for everyday life. I'm just glad that I can help the next generation.
Jonathan responded for tutoring for my son in Algebra and Common Core Math within hours of my request. He was able to meet us the very next day. He is prompt, patient, and able to assist my son's special needs. My son's grades greatly improved, from a F to a B, after only 4 sessions. He has been an outstanding fit for us and I would recommend him to anyone!Yolanda, 15 lessons with JonathanTutor responded:

Jonathan has made a huge difference in my son's academic success in Algebra 2. I had exhausted all of my efforts to find a tutor, and when I contacted Jonathan I needed him that same day. At the very least, I expected to receive a response to my plea for help the next day. Jonathan responded within the hour and met my son at a location of his choosing. He was on time, patient, and my son expressed that he learned so much. He continued, "Jonathan explains it (College Algebra) so well." Thank you, Jonathan! My son is more confident and at ease with Math now more than ever before. I'm looking forward to my daughter benefiting from his knowledge, skills, and abilities, as she enters her Algebra 2 final the week of May 20th!Rene', 3 lessons with JonathanTutor responded:
This is the reason why I am on the tutoring service, to help individuals out that are in need. Your son was a great student, and he has a great mother that was in need of a tutor. I'm just glad that I could help.
Jonathan was prompt and we were very impressed with him. He was patient and understanding with my son and spent an hour and a half with him. My son had a test the next day in math and he made a 97, after one session (he had been making D's and C's on the big tests) Jonathan understood that my son new most of the material but he was rushing and not being thorough. Jonathan stressed to him to follow through with his work. Jonathan seems to be very conscientious and goal oriented which, in itself, is a very positive influence for a tutor. We have already scheduled more sessions for the future and look forward to working with Jonathan again.Amy, 6 lessons with JonathanTutor responded:
Amy has a great son that wants to learn and do well in his studies. I enjoy tutoring her son, he is a great student.
Jonathan J was on time and ready to show me what I needed to know. While looking over my assignment there were instances where we got stuck and but his head alone with my small input did help some. There were still some things that we could not figure it out but he was telling me different things that I needed to know in order to concur working with statistics. This math is hard for me and he lifted some of the load I had but it was still frustrating. I want to thank him for his help and I am sure I will call on him again.Shelia, 1 lesson with Jonathan
