Hi, potential students and parents! My name is Shemiko, and I am interested in becoming a helpful tutor to you or your child. As a 2009 graduate of high school, I have relevant experience with what is expected of elementary, junior high, high school, and some college students. In high school, I completed the Mississippi Scholar program, graduated as number six out of over 200 students in my class, received Summa Cum Laude (Highest Honors), received a 25 on the ACT, and obtained a final cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Therefore, I am well qualified to be a tutor to you or your child in any subject area from twelfth grade and before. Also, I am very precise at proofreading essays and also have experience with research papers. I have received all A's in every English class that I have taken and will be glad to assist you or your child in doing the same. I am currently a student at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, MS participating in the Pre-Medicine degree program and looking forward to completing medical school in the future. I believe that I will be a great aspect to the future of you or your child's academic career, and I promise to do the best that I can to be sure that success in academics is number one priority. I am willing and able to tutor in Math (algebra, trigonometry, basic math), Science (biology and some chemistry), English (teaching how to speak correct English, teaching the rules of writing, and also the skills stated above), and study skills (test preparation, balancing busy schedules with school, and other study skills that I have used in the past and also use today). I hope that the above statements have caught your attention and that I will be hearing from you soon. I look forward to the challenge. Thank you for your time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
