I maximize the value of our time together by remaining focused on emphasizing the MOST important concepts in each of the subjects that I teach, with minimal time spent on the low-yield, less-important content.
I recently completed my second year of medical school academics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, MS. I have an undergraduate bachelor of science degree from Tulane University, as well as a Master's degree of Biomedical Sciences from UMMC.

After graduating from Tulane University in 2005, I was commissioned a 2ndLt in the United States Marine Corps. I was trained as Intelligence Officer, and in various applications of that capacity I served for over 8 years, achieving the rank of Captain. After bidding farewell to the Marine Corps, I started down the path into medical school and medical education, a journey which I happily plan to continue for life.

American History

This is the subject about which I have the greatest passion for teaching/tutoring. This began in high school and continued on through college. As an officer in the US Marines, this passion for US History/Nat'l Policy was stoked with continued officer-level education for this history.

He hit the target

I had a special assignment and I explained to him what needed to be done and he delivered. He's very good at explaining things in a manner that's understandable. He knows his stuff and knew how to impart his knowledge. Moreover he was quick to respond to my request and I truly appreciated that!!!

Best pathophysiology tutor for nursing school!

I have had several tutoring sessions with Johnny for my pathophysiology class in nursing school. I will continue to book sessions with him! You know when you feel like you've won the tutor lottery and find someone who not only knows the information but can actually break down the info and teach it to you in a way where you understand it too? Well that's Johnny! He is able to explain concepts in a way that my teachers cannot. Plus he is very friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about medicine and science. If you're scrolling through this website looking for a pathophysiology tutor and feeling overwhelmed by everything, book a lesson with him!
