I have worked extensively with students with a variety of learning and physical challenges such as cerebral palsy and autism, as well as children with diagnosed learning disabilities and focusing challenges.

As a third grade teacher my students excelled in math, as I scaffolded lessons to meet their needs.

I've taught English in China on multiple occasions. In addition to that I tutored South Korean college students at an American university.

As a third grade teacher I had a broad understanding of what children need to know to be successful in school. I had to teach K-2nd grade standards to help some children catch up, and 4th-6th grade standards to help others challenge themselves, in addition to the 3rd grade standards I was already teaching.

Under my instruction multiple children with learning disabilities were able to pass the state standardized test for reading, despite being years behind when I began teaching them.

If you know a child that's struggling in school, I would love to help!

My licenses have just recently expired.

I used Florida's Institute for Reading Research as well as small group and 1-1 intervention. Despite having been held back several years with a learning disability, two of these children went on to pass the test.
