My hourly rate is negotiable.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I taught at an alternative school last year. This school gets students from the regular schools with behavior problems. The majority of my students had ADHD. I am a special education teacher so I had to find out how these students learned best.
I have a 5 year teaching license in Special Education. I am certified to teach Kindergarten through 12th grade. I am currently teaching at an alternative school with junior high and high school skills. However I am working on elementary skills such as multiplication and reading.
