Mississippi College (Elementary Education)
Throughout my educational career, many teachers have left a lasting impression on me both positive and negative. Those teachers who left a positive impression on me greatly influenced my dream of becoming a teacher and helped me realize the kind of teacher I want to be for my future students.
However, the teachers that have left a negative impression on me did not do me a complete injustice. Those teachers who left a negative impression on me have influenced me to strive to be a better teacher and role model. As a teacher I strive to be a follower of Christ and share the abilities and strengths He has given me, with my students. I hope to not only be a teacher but also a positive role model in student’s lives.
I hope to encourage students in all that they do and be a positive voice in not only their educational career but also their lives as a whole. I hope that my students look forward to learning and feel confident in their knowledge. I hope that when students look back on their educational career, I am one of their teachers that left a lasting positive impression on them.

I am currently a senior elementary education major at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. I have two more semesters and student teaching to complete before I graduate in December 2017. I have taken an ample amount of required courses for the elementary education major and feel very confident in the knowledge I have obtained from them. I have also observed in local schools for the last year and a half and have accumulated 90 hours total of observation time. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success and confidence in your studies. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
